Jones Operating, an Independent Oil & Gas Company, is searching for a Landman/ Land manager with experience to help continue the company's growth in exploration, production, reservoir management and asset acquisition for the future.
We are a 65-year-old company that is conservative and debt free.
Our core areas of interest are Southern Oklahoma, North Texas and West Texas with assets throughout the Mid Continent and Texas.
We own and manage a sizable mineral position throughout the same areas.
Our intentions for this position are to support or manage the successful and efficient acquisition and management of oil and gas leases, minerals and surface.
Overseeing the maintenance of existing leasehold, minerals and surface as well as identifying opportunities to improve value of existing assets and potential assets.
We would hope prospective candidates would have a minimum of 5
years of work experience with knowledge of or the desire to learn the following:
Job Description Work closely with land, geology, exploration and management personnel providing land support for leasehold, mineral and surface management.
Improve and optimize land maintenance processes by reviewing existing land files making recommendations for improvement.
Experience in working with title/commission attorneys, lease brokers and county record searches.
Experienced in lease, division order maintenance, title work, spacing and pooling requirements before state agencies.
Prepare well and workover proposal ballots.
Negotiate wellsite, roadway, pipeline, electric and surface agreements.
Develop a good working relationship with regulators by having a working knowledge of government regulations, spacing and pooling.
Utilize this knowledge to work closely with the other disciplines in the company Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook or Gmail) be familiar with Oil and Gas information services (IHS, Enverus/Drillinginfo, various state sites.
Personal -Flexible, self-starter, with the ability to work in small company, team-based environment.
-Able to work independently and at times with a minimum of supervision.
-Very little travel will be required with the job.
Pluses -Field Based title searches, property and lease acquisition.
-Knowledgeable of SSI Land software -Good presentation, communication and writing skills.
