Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Horizons
Job Description The Certified Nurse Aide provides compassionate care to individuals and families under the direction of the registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).
Responsibilities:
Answers and responds to call lights or alarms to determine patients' needs Bathes, dresses and undresses patients Serves and collects food trays and feeds patients that require help.
Transports patients or assists patients to walk Turns and repositions bedfast patients, alone or with assistance, to prevent skin breakdown Changes bed linens, runs errands within the hospital, directs visitors and answers telephones Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, food and fluid intake and output, as directed Performs patient accu-checks and reports results appropriately Straightens patient rooms as necessary and makes sure the walkways are free of clutter to provide an environment to assist in fall prevention.
Document in electronic medical record as necessary Report changes in patient status or needs to licensed personnel in a timely manner Supports and participates in department performance improvement.

Clinical Requirements Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English.
Basic computer skills including the ability to send/ receive/ email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information tools.
Must have a certification by the Oklahoma State Health Department and registration as a Certified Nurse Aide preferred; American Heart Association BLS required.
For those positions requiring travel, a current valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
Safety-Sensitive Position This position requires respirator and fit testing.
Required testing will be performed on all team members at risk for exposure to airborne infectious diseases, droplet producing procedures, or any caustic chemicals.
As a condition of employment, vaccinations are required per DRH Policy.
Medical and Religious Exemptions are available upon request.
