JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for accounts payable, general ledger balancing and other various accounting functions.
Responsible for Accounts Payable research, coding and payment functions.
Print daily reports as requested.
Assist with public pledging forms and reports on word and excel.
Deposit rent income and maintain rental records on quick books.
Assist Supervisor as needed.
Interact and communicate with other accounting team members.
Prepare and deliver monthly board books.
Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
Effectively work and cooperate with co-workers, other employees and vendors.
Follow the direction of supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
High School diploma, or equivalent, required.
College level Accounting and/or Finance courses as well as accounts payable and previous banking experience helpful.
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Dependable, trustworthy and willing to work as a member of a team while producing thorough and accurate work.

Ability to use 10-key adding machine by touch.
Good skills in using Windows, MS Word, MS Excel.
This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:
Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
Driving to client locations and other sites as needed.
Normal office environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
