JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for assisting customers, realtors and investors with fixed rate mortgage applications and processing loan documents and handling all aspects of the final stages of the mortgage loan process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Order appraisals, credit reports, tax transcripts, and various verification documents
Be able to work with investors and underwriters
Prepare closing documents
Enter loan application data into system and print out initial disclosures for customers to sign as needed.
Help with walk-in customers as needed.
Take customer calls for inquires on rates and mortgage products.
Insure compliance in all aspects of processing guidelines and requirements.
Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
Effectively work and cooperate with supervisors, co-workers and customers.
Follow the direction of supervisor.
ADDITIONAL
Responsibilities:
Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous banking and related experience in marketing, accounting, customer service and sales skills.
Experience or knowledge of loan documentation and/or processing is preferred.
Knowledge of VA, FHA and Conventional lending requirements preferred.
Computer skills, including MS Word, Excel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Real estate regulations and application.
Specific skills include ability to type business correspondence and forms.
Computer experience including Windows, MS Word and MS Excel or other word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to learn mortgage-lending software required. Must also have the ability to compute basic math functions as well as rates, yields and percentages.
Bookkeeping/accounting skills required to balance transactions. Must demonstrate excellent customer and employee relations skills to relay documentation needs and requirements.
Must demonstrate problem-solving skills to determine investor needs.
This position requires a high degree of professionalism, customer service, sales, teamwork and confidentiality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:
Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
Frequent lifting (up to 10 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
Driving to client locations and other sites as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office environment.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
